Platte County traffic stop yields 14 pounds of marijuana

A 24-year-old Woodstock, Ga., man faces a drug-related charge after 14 pounds of suspected marijuana was found in his vehicle.

Daniel D. Teuscher was arrested Tuesday after Platte County Sheriff deputies stopped his vehicle on Interstate 29 near Mexico City Avenue for a lane violation.

Authorities said Teuscher consented to a search in which deputies found about 14 pounds of what is believed to be marijuana.

Teuscher was arrested and charged with one count relating to the distribution of a controlled substance.

He is being held in the Platte County jail on $25,000 bond.
