A 19-year-old man was beaten and robbed in a parking garage just west of the Country Club Plaza Monday night.

After the man parked on the ground floor of the garage at 801 W. 47th Street just before midnight, three men wearing ski masks accosted him. One had a gun. He struck the victim in the back of the head, knocking him to the ground. The other masked men then punched and kicked him before stealing his iPad, cell phone and wallet.

The robbers ran north through the garage.

A 30-year-old woman was robbed in a similar crime last month in the same area. That victim was returning home just after midnight on March 17 when she noticed two men in a white car watching her in her parking garage. They drove up to her as she approached her apartment building door. A passenger got out of their car, pointed a gun at her head, pushed her against the door and demanded her purse.

Police did not know if the crimes were linked.
