The Overland Park and Mission police departments will conduct DUI checkpoints on Friday night at undisclosed locations.
The Overland Park checkpoint will start at 10 and end at 2 a.m.
Officers will be watching for drivers under the influence of drugs and alcohol and write citations for traffic and other offenses.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol, along with the Kansas City Police Department, will conduct a DWI checkpoint in Jackson County sometime between now and the end of April.
The Platte County Sheriff’s Office also announced it may conduct sobriety checkpoints at various locations within Platte County during April.
