Police say 13 impaired drivers arrested at sobriety checkpoint

Kansas City police said Saturday they arrested 13 intoxicated drivers at a sobriety checkpoint that opened late Friday.

Sgt. Ronald Podraza said officers stopped 404 vehicles at 4040 Main Street beginning at 11 p.m. The checkpoint closed at 4 a.m. Saturday.

Officers also cited three drivers each for driving with suspended or revoked licenses and for hazardous moving violations. Two drivers were arrested on city warrants. Two drivers also were arrested for marijuana violations.
