Homicide investigation begins after husband reports wife dead in KC

Kansas City police officers began a homicide investigation Sunday after a man said he found his wife dead.

The man called police at 11:16 a.m. after he said he found the woman, who was about 70 years old, dead in the home in the 4400 block of East 33rd Street.

Police said they did not know how the woman died, but they were treating the case as a homicide.
