Kansas City police searched Saturday for a man armed with a silver automatic handgun who held up a Hy-Vee grocery store Friday night and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

The robbery occurred shortly after 11 p.m. A security camera photo showed a man in his 20s entered the store at 207 N.E. Englewood Road wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray pants and a black T-shirt with an image of a white Nike tennis shoe on the front. Witness told police that he left the store in a dark-colored four-door vehicle.
