Man killed in gunfire at KCK home

Police responded to a shooting call shortly after midnight today and found a man dead inside a residence in the 3100 block of South 63rd Street in Kansas City, Kan.

An initial investigation indicates a disturbance occurred during a small gathering and escalated into gunfire. Alcohol is believed to be a factor, police said.

Police are talking to man described as a s “person of interest.” The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
