Several area health providers are scaling back services because of the winter storm.
• Children’s Mercy Hospital will close all its outpatient clinics and urgent care centers at 6 p.m. today through Tuesday because of the weather.
Anyone with a scheduled same-day surgery should call 816-234-3000 before coming. Emergency services will be available at Children’s Mercy Hospital on Hospital Hill and Children’s Mercy South.
• The Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center in Kansas City will be closed on Tuesday.
• The University of Kansas Hospital will remain open for patient care on Tuesday. However, the following clinics and services will be closed:
-- All physician clinics in the medical office building on the hospital campus will be closed. Patients with appointments are being notified.
-- All University of Kansas Cancer Center clinics will be closed for regular appointments and treatments, except for the treatment area at the center’s Westwood location, which will remain open.
-- All of the hospital’s Mid America Cardiology offices in the region will be closed.
-- The hospital’s network of Jayhawk Primary Care offices will be closed.
