A 35-year-old Cameron woman died Tuesday night after she lost control of her pickup truck and crashed on Old Tiffany Springs Parkway in the Northland.

Carrie A. Bowen was driving east in a residential area near North Kirkwood Avenue about 8:35 p.m. when her vehicle left the road and hit a light pole. Brown, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from her rolling vehicle and ended up pinned underneath the truck, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police were investigating whether alcohol was a contributing factor.

Bowen’s death marked the city’s sixth fatal crash this year compared to nine at the same date last year.
