Robbers kidnap man in downtown KC, force him to withdraw money at ATM

A man reported being kidnapped and robbed while walking downtown near the Power & Light District early Sunday morning.

The 23-year-old man told Kansas City police that he was walking near 13th Street and Grand Boulevard about 2:45 a.m. Sunday when several men confronted him. One pulled a gun and forced him into a vehicle.

They drove the victim to a bank at 31st and Main streets where he was forced to withdraw $400 from an ATM, according to police reports.

The suspects fled in the vehicle. Detailed descriptions were not available Monday.
