A 19-year-old Kansas City man and a 13-year-old boy were charged today with the burglary of an occupied home in Overland Park Thursday.

The woman who lived in the house in the 10500 block of Flint Street heard someone breaking into her home just after noon Thursday and hid upstairs while calling police. Police arrested one suspect who was in a car parked outside and the other as he walked nearby, Overland Park police said.

Johnson County prosecutors charged Yikeem R. Craddock with aggravated burglary, theft and criminal damage to property. Craddock is on probation for a burglary case in Jackson County, according to court records. He is scheduled to go to trial in April in Jackson County on charges of receiving stolen property, the records show.

He appeared Friday in Johnson County District Court, where his bond was set at $50,000.

The juvenile was not identified because of his age. He appeared before a judge Friday and was released to house arrest pending a hearing later this month.
