KC motorcyclist dies in collision with SUV

A 32-year-old Kansas City motorcyclist died Thursday after colliding with a sport utility vehicle in the Northland.
Brian A. Flores was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at a hospital, police said.
Flores was northbound on North Winchester Avenue just before 5 p.m. when he struck a red Jeep, which was headed west from a stop sign at N.E. 50th Street.
Flores, who was riding a friend’s motorcycle, was wearing a helmet. Police are investigating right-of-way questions at the intersection.
Flores’ was Kansas City’s 64th traffic fatality for 2012, compared with 63 as of this time last year. Kansas City recorded 66 traffic fatalities in all of 2012, police said.
