The FBI sought the public’s help Monday in identifying a man depicted in a photograph of a girl who was sexually exploited.

The bureau distributed the photo in 13 metropolitan areas, including Kansas City, that are served by the QuikTrip convenience store chain because one of the pictures shows a “child’s drinking cup” marked with the QuikTrip logo, according to an FBI press release.

Two of the photos depict an older man between the ages of 55 and 65 with brown eyes, gray hair, and a full beard and mustache. A third photo includes the cup and a baseball cap “displaying what could be the logo of a local sports team,” the release said.

A fourth image includes what may be a telephone book.

The FBI began working to identify the man in November 2005 when a series of photos appeared online showing a girl about 10 years old “posing naked in sexually explicit positions,” according to the release.

The man can be seen watching from a nearby bed.
