A Buchanan County woman is charged in the death of her 4-year-old daughter who suffered from cerebral palsy and used a feeding machine.
Alexandria Thurman Laureen Schurr was charged Wednesday with involuntary manslaughter, according to KCTV-5, The Star’s reporting partner.
St. Joseph police reportedly found Schurr’s daughter, Amber Elizabeth Mosie, dead after they were called to her home about 5:30 p.m. Oct. 10. Authorities said that Amber had not been checked since 9 a.m., and that she died after food obstructed her airway.
Bond was set at $50,000.
