Players appearing in Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game on July 10 will ride in a parade through the Country Club Plaza that afternoon.
The 1 p.m. parade will start near the intersection of Ward Parkway and Wornall Road and travel west along Ward Parkway north of Brush Creek. It will take a right at Pennsylvania Avenue and another right at Nichols Road before ending near Central Street.
The vehicles carrying the players will roll over more than 4,100 feet of red carpet along the route.
George Brett will serve as the parade’s grand marshal. Tony La Russa and Ron Washington, managers of the National League and American League All-Star teams, will also participate.
