Still counting. Still waiting.
The outcome in three write-in races for the Kansas City school board remained unknown Monday, but the Kansas City election board expects to know Wednesday.
Election officials intend to reveal vote totals when the election commissioners meet at noon Wednesday to certify the election.
“Our plan is to let it come out at noon,” election board director Shelley McThomas said.
The timing is not guaranteed, so Kansas City school board members and prospective members don’t know yet when they will meet to swear in newcomers and elect their president and vice president.
The school board has a regularly scheduled meeting Wednesday night, but board members have been asked if they could also meet Thursday or Friday if necessary.
