Grandview police are looking for three men who shot and wounded a 16-year-old boy in a road rage incident early Sunday.
A teenage girl was hurt by broken glass when a car window shattered in the 3 a.m. incident.
The teenagers, who were with friends, were headed home after attending an after-prom party. They encountered the men on northbound U.S. 71 near Missouri 150. The teenagers exited at Missouri 150, and one of the men threw a bottle at their vehicle, hitting the windshield. When the teenagers tried to drive away, one of the men shot at the car, hitting the boy.
Police did not say where the boy was hit, but said he was admitted into a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The girl suffered minor injuries.
Police are looking for any witnesses and the men, who were in an olive green colored sport-utility vehicle with beige trim, possibly a Ford Explorer. Police were also looking for a woman who was driving a black mid-sized four-door car because she was reportedly involved in the road rage.
Police did not release detailed descriptions of any of the men.
