A 60-year-old Easton, Kan., man died at a hospital Monday from injuries sustained in a rollover crash on Kansas 10 in Lenexa.
The crash occurred about 10:25 a.m. Monday as Christopher A. Fisher was southbound on Kansas 7 in a 2003 Ford F-550 truck.
Fisher took the ramp too fast and lost control, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. He then over-corrected and rolled the truck.
Fisher was rushed to a hospital where he later died. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Never miss a local story.
Fisher was the father of anchor and reporter Chris Fisher with WIBW, a television station in Topeka, who posted a message to his Facebook page.
“I lost my dad Monday morning after a car crash in Johnson County,” he said in the post. “It was a day after his 60th birthday.”
Fisher described his dad as a quiet, modest and extremely hard-working man.
He was “a gifted stone mason and bricklayer. He loved his family, especially his grandkids.”
