Police are investigating burglary, arson and vandalism at south KC church
Kansas City ATF public information officer John Ham briefed media about the police investigation into burglary, arson and racist graffiti that happened at Concord Fortress of Hope Church in south Kansas City on Sunday morning.
The funeral procession for Wyandotte County Sheriff's deputies Theresa King and Patrick Rohrer arrives at Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kan. Deputies King and Rohrer were killed while transporting a prisoner from the courthouse back to jail.
During a Saturday press conference. Kelli Bailiff, of the Wyandotte County Sheriff's Department, and Terry Zeigler, KCK police chief, spoke about the two deputies who were killed Friday while transporting an inmate.
“This officer died to save us and to protect us, “ said Mary Anne Sause, of Louisburg, Kan., who came to the scene of Friday’s shooting to honor the deceased Wyandotte County Sheriff’s deputy. A second deputy died overnight.
During a news conference Saturday morning, Kansas City, Kan., Mayor David Alvey spoke about the two Wyandotte County Sheriff's deputies who were shot Friday while transporting an inmate. Patrick Rohrer and Theresa King were both killed.
A witness' video of the downtown Kansas City police shooting shows three officers arriving on scene. Police said one suspect was armed with a gun. At least two officers appear to fire, killing both of the men on the Barney Allis Plaza.
