A crash Friday on Interstate 35 in Kansas City, Kan., shut down northbound lanes for nearly two hours.
The wreck in the northbound lanes of the interstate north of 18th Street Expressway was reported shortly before 4 p.m. Friday.
Rescue crews extricated a person from a car that was wedged under a tractor-trailer, and the northbound lanes of the interstate were closed.
The rescued person was taken by ambulance to the University of Kansas Hospital.
