A mother and daughter were reported safe Monday night hours after Kansas City police asked for the public’s help in finding them.
The Police Department around 7 p.m. issued an endangered person advisory for Myisha McFarland, 29, and her daughter Cierra, 6.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, McFarland sent a text message to an acquaintance saying she planned to harm herself and her daughter.
Attempts by authorities to communicate with McFarland had failed, the patrol said.
At 9:41 p.m., Sgt. Kari Thompson, a police spokeswoman, wrote in an email that the mother and daughter had been found safe in Kansas City.
