Outlaw biker gang to gather this weekend in Grain Valley

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, an estimated crowd of 1,500 to 2,000 is expected for the Labor Day weekend event.

The Bandidos Motorcycle Club, known in law enforcement as an outlaw biker gang with chapters worldwide, will hold a holiday weekend run in Grain Valley.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, an estimated crowd of 1,500 to 2,000 is expected for the Labor Day weekend event. Officials did not specify a location in the eastern Jackson County city.

“Law enforcement will be paying close attention to the rally and will already be out in force due to increased holiday traffic,” patrol spokesman Sgt. Collin M. Stosberg said in a statement. “Area law enforcement partners have been in contact with the organizers and do not anticipate any problems.”

Stosberg went on to say that the Grain Valley Police Department, Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, Blue Springs Police Department and the Missouri Highway Patrol will have additional enforcement personnel assigned to the area to ensure public safety and traffic control.
