Police make arrests at Kansas City sobriety checkpoint

An overnight sobriety checkpoint in the Northland nabbed several traffic law violators, including four charged with driving under the influence.

Kansas City Police made four arrests for driving under the influence at a sobriety checkpoint that began late Friday night.

Two fugitives also were arrested.

Among 194 cars stopped at N.E. 46th St. and N. Oak Trafficway between 11 p.m. Friday and 4 a.m. Saturday, police found four drivers with suspended or revoked licenses.

Other citations included one for careless driving, one for hindering an officer, and two traffic violations.
