The latest Department of Defense identification of casualties in Afghanistan and Iraq:

Army Spc. Kyle A. Coumas, 22, of Lockeford, Calif., died Oct. 21 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive.

Marine Lance Cpl. David R. Baker, 22, of Painesville, Ohio, died Oct. 20 supporting combat in Helmand province, Afghanistan.

Army Staff Sgt. Bradley Espinoza, 26, of Mission, Texas, died Oct. 19 in Qwest, Iraq, when his vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive.

Army Pfc. Daniel J. Rivera, 22, of Rochester, N.Y., died Oct. 18 in Mosul, Iraq, in a vehicle accident.

Army Spc. Michael A. Dahl Jr., 23, of Moreno Valley, Calif., was killed Oct. 17 in Arghandab, Afghanistan, when his vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive.

Army Sgt. Christopher M. Rudzinski, 28, of Rantoul, Ill., died Oct. 16 near Kandahar in an explosion from a roadside bomb.

Army Staff Sgt. Chris N. Staats, 32, of Fredericksburg, Texas, was killed Oct. 16 in Wardack province, Afghanistan, when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive.

Army Spc. Anthony G. Green, 28, of Matthews, N.C., died in the Oct. 16 Wardack province blast.

Army Staff Sgt. Glen H. Stivison Jr., 34, of Blairsville, Pa., was killed Oct. 15 by an improvised explosive in Kandahar province. Also killed in the Oct. 15 Kandahar province blast were:

Army Spc. Jesus O. Flores Jr., 28, of La Mirada, Calif.

Army Spc. Daniel C. Lawson, 33, of Deerfield Beach, Fla.

Army Pfc. Brandon M. Styer, 19, of Lancaster, Pa.
