I had a roof installed by All Pro Roofing of Leawood in April of last year. The roofers did a fine job of installing the roof, but their truck cracked and sunk the west side of my driveway. I have called and left numerous messages requesting they take care of my driveway. I was told that they would send someone out to look at it and take pictures. No one has been out. Now my calls are never returned. — R.C., Overland Park

Several car booster seats do a poor job of positioning children to fit in their seat belts, according to a review by the insurance industry and researchers. The Virginia-based Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute found Wednesday that 13 booster seats do not put children in the best position to be protected in a crash.

The government approved a new genetic test for the flu virus Tuesday that will allow labs across the country to identify flu strains within four hours instead of four days. The time-saving test could be crucial if a deadly new strain emerges, federal health officials said. The new test also could help doctors make better treatment decisions during flu season.
