Jackson Lewis P.C., a workplace law firm based in White Plains, N.Y., on Monday announced the opening of a regional office in Overland Park.

This is the law firm’s 55th office. Jackson Lewis opened in temporary space in the Corporate Woods office park, and it plans to remain in the development once its permanent space is ready.

The managing partner in Overland Park is Brian Christensen. Joining him are partner David Kight and Kyle Russell, who is of counsel. The three were formerly with Spencer Fane Britt Browne LLP.

“We wanted to expand into the Kansas City market for a long time due to increasing demand from our clients in the region,” Vincent Cino, the firm’s chairman, said in a statement.

Jackson Lewis, founded in 1958, represents management in workplace law. It has nearly 800 lawyers.
