Wendy Doyle, who has a strong nonprofit leadership background, will be the new executive director of the Women’s Foundation of Greater Kansas City.

Doyle will take the top job at the foundation, which invests in women and girls through grant making, advocacy, leadership and research, effective July 31.

Doyle has been executive vice president of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas since 2008. Before that, she held leadership positions at the National Kidney Foundation and was a nonprofit consultant.

She is a past board president of Nonprofit Connect and a graduate of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Centurions Leadership Program and the Kauffman FastTrac program. She also was an original member of the 360 Degrees of Giving Circle for the Women’s Foundation.

A search committee for the foundation, assisted by a professional recruiter, interviewed what they said was a “slate of highly qualified candidates.”

Doyle said she is looking forward to the opportunity “to make women and girls in this community more successful.”
