A round of presentations Sept. 15 starts with Wendy Guillies, chief executive of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in Kansas City.
The weeklong event for all things tech includes stops at KC Startup Village, The Nerdery, Kansas City Live, Think Big Coworking, VML headquarters, the National World War I Museum and Memorial, the Sprint Accelerator and Union Station.
Its expo will pack the big hall at Union Station with startups and other technological sights.
Union Station is where LaunchKC will reveal the 10 tech startups that each will win a $50,000 grant in the national competition. Last year’s LaunchKC included a People’s Choice winner, Kansas City-based PopBookings.
The Big Data Summit is back, along with a hiring fair and hackathon. New this year: a photo scavenger hunt along the Kansas City streetcar route.
Three types of tickets are available, each providing different levels of access to the scheduled events.
