Consumers to spend less for Halloween

Some 158 million people are expected to observe the day, according to a survey released by the National Retail Federation. But that’s down from a record high of 170 million celebrants in 2012. And each of those people will spend $75.03 on costumes, decorations, candy and other merriment, a decline from the $79.82 they shelled out on average last year.
