Hiland Dairy is introducing five varieties of lactose-free milk this month.

Grocers will be stocking these varieties: a 2% reduced fat milk; a fat free milk; fat free extra milk; a vitamin D milk; and vanilla almond fat free milk. All will be available in half-gallon sizes.

“We realize there are people in our market area who are lactose intolerant and cannot digest dairy products, and we had many customer requests for a lactose-free milk,” said Gary Aggus, Hiland Dairy’s president and general manager. Hiland is based in Springfield, Mo.
