Roy Jensen, director of the University of Kansas Cancer Center, has been elected vice president of the Association of American Cancer Institutes.
Jensen will begin a two-year term as vice president in October, after which he will serve two years as the association’s president, the University of Kansas Medical Center said in a statement.
The association seeks to identify and share best practices among 95 leading cancer research institutes.
Jensen has led the KU Cancer Center since 2004. The center in 2012 received designation as a National Cancer Institute cancer center.
