TruHome Solutions, a fast-growing Lenexa-based firm that provides mortgage services to credit unions around the country, has opened a new operations center and expects to hire 400 to 500 people over the next few years.
The firm, which now employs 240 at its administration office at 9777 Ridge Drive, has opened a new operations center at 9601 Legler Road. Both facilities will be able to accommodate up to 412 employees when fully occupied, and the company has an option on additional space.
“Now that we have the new location with physical space to expand, we look forward to continuing our aggressive hiring plan as a means to fulfill the increasing demand for mortgage solutions,” said Keith Varney, TruHome president.
The firm was started in 2005 in Lenexa and is a subsidiary of CommunityAmerica Credit Union. TruHome provides mortgage services to 80 credit unions, and Varney expects that number will grow to 200 credit unions over the next few years as well as expanding into the community banking industry.
“We anticipate rapid growth over the next 10 to 20 years,” he said. “We’re looking to grow anywhere from 400 to 500 employees in the next couple of years.”

TruHome expects to invest about $10 million over the next five years in its facilities. It now has 60,000 square feet of space and has an option for another 35,000 square feet.
Economic development officials praised the company’s decision to expand in Lenexa.
The firm is being offered incentives that include training dollars and assistance from the Kansas PEAK program, which allows a company to keep 95 percent of its employees’ state income taxes for up to five to seven years.
“The investment the company is making in the state will help drive economic growth in Kansas,” Kansas Commerce Secretary Pat George said in a statement.
