Westport’s Doughnut Lounge has a new executive chef, new bar manager and new summer doughnut and drink menus.
Executive chef Rikianne Gendvil will roll out the new summer doughnut menu on Monday, May 30, including classic options like orange chocolate and doughnut holes; six new signature doughnuts including tiramisu and Island Vacation; and 11 new Noduts (knife-and-fork creations) like Do’nachos and ice cream sandwiches (made with local ice cream from Betty Rae’s Ice Cream in Waldo).
In response to frequent customer requests, a vegan doughnut and two gluten-free donuts also will be on the summer menu.
Gendvil had previously been sous chef with Korkstrom Klubb & Market, and also had culinary positions with Bluestem restaurant, Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar, Classic Cup Café and Parisi Artisan Coffee.

Bar manager Jessica Teliczan will offer 15 new craft cocktails, including Rhubarb Enlightenment (bourbon, rhubarb/basil shrub, and lemon), the Surfer on Acid (fresh coconut-infused rum, herbal liqueur, and pineapple puree), and Violet Femme (vodka, crème de violette, rose simple and lime).
The locally owned Doughnut Lounge, at 4117 Pennsylvania Ave., opened in December 2015.
