Kelvin Powell and his wife Rischa Rayon will spend the next few weeks remodeling the former Cook Shack Cafe building both inside and out.
Then, in mid-August, they plan to open Game Day Chicken Wings & Fish. The restaurant, at 8950 Wornall Road, will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, offering such items as chicken wings, chicken and waffles, fish, burgers, and a daily special.
The Cook Shack Cafe closed earlier this year.
Susan Scott and George Bukaty of Greg Patterson & Associates handled the negotiations for the 1,320-square-foot freestanding building.
