After nearly a decade of operations, M&S Grill closed Sunday night on the Country Club Plaza.

Howard Cole, senior vice president of operations for the restaurant’s parent company, Landry’s Restaurant Group, said Monday the company is “excited to transition the space into an all new restaurant concept.” He said more information about the new operation will be disclosed this summer.

In 2012, McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants became part of the restaurant group of Landry’s Inc.

M&S Grill opened at 4646 J.C. Nichols Parkway in 2005. Landry’s also has a McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood & Steaks on the Plaza at 448 W. 47th St.

In a statement, Glenn Stephenson, Kansas City vice president and division manager for Highwoods Properties, the Plaza’s landlord, said he is “excited for (the) new concept to come on board in the coming months.”
