Spin Neapolitan Pizza is opening a location on the University of Central Missouri campus in Warrensburg.

Spin is scheduled to open in August 2015 in the new mixed-use project The Crossing — South at Holden, at 116 W. South St.

It will serve students, faculty, staff, and the local Warrensburg community.

The restaurant will have more than 100 seats in the dining room and bar area, and a full patio overlooking the football stadium.

Spin is known for its artisan pizzas with dough and toppings made fresh daily, as well as its housemade soups, made-from-scratch salad dressings, appetizers, salads, signature panini and Italian deli sandwiches, and all natural gelato ice creams.

The Crossing will be a 185,000-square-foot mixed-use facility. It will include 325 beds for upper-class students, two- and four-bedroom units, and retail offerings such as the new University Store, a convenience store and Starbucks.

The first Spin opened in Overland Park in 2005 and there are now six locations in the metro. Franchises also have opened two restaurants in California and more are planned.
