Andy Lock and Domhnall Molloy of Summit Group LLC have purchased the former 810 Zone building in Lee’s Summit.
Their initial plans call for a seafood concept that would open in mid-2018. The partners have been wanting to open a seafood restaurant since their days working at McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood & Steaks on the Country Club Plaza.
The 6,500-square-foot freestanding building is in SummitWoods Crossing at 1672 N.W. Chipman Road.

Lock and Molloy were recently honored with the “Restaurateurs of the Year” award by the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association. They own and operate Summit Grill in Lee’s Summit and Waldo, Boru Ramen Bar in Waldo, and Third Street Social, Lakewood Local and Summit Cellar & Spirits in Lee’s Summit.
