Spin Neapolitan Pizza is coming to the Northland.
The locally owned company plans to take a 3,862-square-foot spot at 6100 N.W. 63rd Terrace in The Village at Burlington Creek, just west of Interstate 29.
The owner of All Star Pizza & Pub, which opened in mid-2009, said the deal is in final negotiations and should be completed this week. All Star plans to continue to operate at least through the end of the month. After a remodeling, Spin would open this fall.
“We were looking for good traffic access, good parking. It just feels like a nice hub,” said Gail Lozoff, a partner in Spin.
Spin was founded in Overland Park in 2005 and the new Northland location will be its 10th in the metro. It also is expanding in several other states with corporate and franchised locations.
James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Smith collaborated on the menu, which includes hand-spun, stone-fired pizzas, fresh salads topped with made-from-scratch dressings, house-made soups, signature panini and Italian deli sandwiches, appetizers, small plates, all-natural gelato ice creams, premium wines, a selection of craft beers, and house-made white, red and blood orange sangrias.
The Northland location will seat 120 people in the dining room and bar, and 40 people on the patio.
Spin recently opened a Crown Center restaurant. It also has area locations south of the Country Club Plaza, in Lee’s Summit, Lenexa, Overland Park, Olathe, and Prairie Village.
Another Overland Park location is under construction in Corbin Park, as well as one at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg.
