Argosy Casino Hotel & Spa’s first new restaurant in a decade is not only targeting craft beer fans but also offering a chef-inspired bar menu. And it can double as the casino’s sports bar with 14 TVs.
99 Hops House Kansas City, at 777 N.W. Argosy Parkway, Riverside, has 99 different bottled and draft beers and also some beer-infused dishes.
The menu includes Pip’s Burgers, entree salads such as the Thai beef with chili-soy marinated beef, shepherd’s pie, smoked half chicken, fish and chips, pulled pork sandwiches and braised beef melts, flatbreads, appetizers, snacks and soups.
Never miss a local story.
Its honey barbecue pork nachos are topped with cheese sauce made with Boulevard Brewing Co.’s Tank 7 beer. Its Fritto Misto (roughly translated as mixed fry) offers American pilsner beer-battered mixed vegetables with mustard dipping sauce, and the KC Sausage entree has Krizman’s bratwurst and Polish sausage boiled in Kansas City Bier Co.’s Dunkel.
99 Hops House took a space located between the main casino entrance and the casino floor, a space that was formerly for player services. A large window by a leather booth lets customers check out the action on the casino floor. The decor is described as refined rustic with “urban glass chandeliers” and polished concrete floors. It seats about 112 people.
99 Hops House opened in three other casinos — in St. Louis, Lawrenceburg, Ind., and Alton, Ill. — before opening in Kansas City in late July.
The beer wall opened Oct. 5. Customers can serve themselves, selecting from 28 beers on tap. It also 64 beers on tap at the bar.
Hours: 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily.
