NIC Inc. on Thursday reported higher second-quarter revenue and profits, thanks to growth in its main business of providing government website services.
The Olathe-based company reported revenues of $80.8 million in the quarter that ended June 30, up from $75.8 million in the same quarter a year earlier.
Profits amounted to $13.1 million compared with net income of $11.3 million in the second quarter of 2015.
NIC’s revenue was boosted by a record $75.5 million in business associated with providing official government websites, online services and secure payment systems.
