Kansas City banker Mark Jorgenson has been chosen to receive the Henry W. Bloch Human Relations Award from the Jewish Community Relations Bureau/American Jewish Committee.
The award recognizes the U.S. Bank executive for his efforts to promote social justice in the Kansas City area.
“It takes tremendous collaboration between business, civic and community groups to foster such an environment,” Jorgenson said in an announcement of the award. “Henry Bloch set the standard in breaking down barriers to do so over the years.”
Bloch is to present the award Sunday evening at the Westin Kansas City at Crown Center.
