Highwoods Properties Inc., which owns the Country Club Plaza shopping, restaurant and office district in Kansas City, on Tuesday reported a smaller third-quarter profit.
The Raleigh, N.C.-based developer said net income fell to $51.7 million for the three months that ended Sept. 30, down from $53.3 million in the same quarter last year.
However, rental and other revenue climbed to $152.6 million from $144.8 million in the same quarter of 2013.
Through nine months, Highwoods had net income of $86.5 million, down from $93.2 million a year earlier.
