Sprint’s LTE customers can now check any location’s access to the faster 4G service on an interactive map at the company’s website.
The Overland Park-based company launched its faster LTE, or Long Term Evolution service, in Kansas City, St. Joseph and 13 other markets on Sunday. The interactive map
gives customers the ability to see whether Sprint has LTE service where they live, work, shop or play.
Online visitors can check coverage by Zip Code or specific address. They also can check coverage for a particular mobile device.
An additional interactive map
shows location- and device-specific coverage that includes WiMax as well as LTE and 3G service. The maps also show where a Sprint customer receives mobile service by roaming on another network.
