Sprint is hit with ‘cramming’ lawsuit by federal consumer bureau

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, asserting its power to pursue consumers’ money interests broadly, alleges that Overland Park-based Sprint collected tens of millions of dollars in unauthorized charges on customers’ bills. Sprint defended its billing systems against the charges and said it was disappointed that the consumer bureau chose to sue.
