Gasoline prices in the Kansas City area fall below $2 a gallon

QuikTrip, a big player in the area’s gasoline market, dropped its prices to $1.99 Friday morning at its stations on the Missouri side of the state line. The higher gasoline tax in Kansas pushed prices at QuikTrip stores there to about $2.07. Several ConocoPhillips stations in the area also were posting prices below $2.

T-Mobile pays $90 million to settle cramming complaints

The wireless carrier’s settlement with state and federal agents comes two days after the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau levied cramming charges against Sprint. Cramming refers to the practice of billing customers for unauthorized charges from other companies.
