A man found shot to death in a car parked in the 7300 block of Prospect Avenue this morning appears to be the victim of a homicide, police said.
Police identified the victim as LaMonta Poole, 23. It appeared that Poole had been deceased in the vehicle for a couple of hours before being noticed by a neighbor, who called police.
A passer-by called police about 7:45 a.m. Police collected evidence, examined the body and assigned the case to the department’s Murder Squad.
The victim’s name and age were not released.
The death marks the city’s 38th homicide of the year.
