A Raymore man died this afternoon after his pickup truck crossed the center line and clipped another car on Northwest Lee’s Summit Road, near the Lee’s Summit Municipal Airport.
The 28-year-old man was driving his Dodge Ram south in the 2500 block of Northwest Lee’s Summit Road around 12:20 p.m. when he cut across the center line on a curve, said Sgt. Mike Childs of the Lee’s Summit Police Department.
He clipped a truck in the northbound lane before veering back into his own lane, rolling and striking a tree line and utility pole.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only person in his pickup.
A man and a woman in the other truck were not injured.
