Life-threatening shooting reported in KC

Kansas City police are investigating a life-threatening shooting reported about 1:50 p.m. today near 46th Street and Chestnut Avenue.

The victim reportedly was found lying on a sidewalk and taken to a hospital. Four suspects reportedly sped away southbound in one or two vehicles, including a dark-colored sport utility vehicle.

Police located shell casings in the 4600 block of Chestnut and blocked roads in the area to keep traffic out.
