The worker killed Tuesday at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts construction site has been identified as Ryan Goodman, 35, of Lee’s Summit.
A second worker, 30-year-old Shane Wagener of Grain Valley, remained in serious but stable condition this morning, Kansas City police said.
The men were roughly 50 feet up in the air on a cherry picker-type lift when the vehicle tipped over about 1:45 p.m., throwing them onto 16th Street just east of Broadway.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration investigators and other authorities are investigating what caused the lift to tip over.
