Man critically hurt in Kansas City shooting

A man is in critical condition tonight after being shot several times at a Midtown apartment building, Kansas City police said.

The man was shot about 6 p.m. in the 3400 block of Locust Street. Police said his wounds were severe but did not appear to be life-threatening.
